Even though it’s technically an “old song,” Faith Hill’s new song “Why” has never been released until now.

As part of her new Deep Tracks album, Hill has re-released songs from previous albums that were not singles but some favorites, as well as 3 unreleased tracks, including “Why.”

“I recorded ‘Why’ for the Fireflies album in 2004,” Hill shared on her facebook page. “When it didn’t make the final cut for the album, Dann Huff, who produced the track, ended up recording it with Rascal Flatts, who released it in 2009. It is a very poignant song and still resonates today.”

“Why” is also the absolute favorite of her husband, Tim McGraw.
