Amazing news for Miranda Lambert! She will be receiving the very first Merle Haggard Spirit Award at Tuesday’s ACM Honors, it has been announced.

Earlier this month, the ACM announced the creation of the ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award, which would “honor uncompromising artists in the spirit of Merle Haggard, while acknowledging a man who has figured prominently in ACM history.”

And Miranda Lambert is the first recipient.

Yay!

Miranda will receive her award during tomorrow’s night’s ACM Honors where she will also be performing.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Lady antebellum. Artists set to perform include Miranda, Alicia Keys, Chris Young, Dan + Shay, The Band Perry, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Toby Keith, Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, and Keith Urban.

The 2016 ACM Honors ceremony will take place tomorrow, 8/30, at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and then will air on September 9 at 9PM ET.d
