Celebration at Cauble Park, July 4th

Fireworks reflecting in Lake Acworth are hard to beat. Yet Cauble Park offers a lot more, including live music and festivities catering to all ages. Families can picnic on the lawns or stroll the vendors showcase for crafts and treats, while kids can enjoy face painting, bounce houses and interactive games.

Bring the family, a blanket and a picnic to enjoy under a brilliant display of fireworks at Wills Park. Sorry, no personal fireworks nor charcoal grills. Peachtree Road Race 2024, July 4th

More than a road race, it’s a legendary party. Some people host fancy brunches and wave from balconies along the parade route. But if you don’t have a friend in Buckhead or Midtown, you always catch the race on the ground. After all, that’s where you’re closest to the action. The race begins at Lenox Square, then travels 6 miles down Peachtree Road before ending at Piedmont Park.

Cartersville holds an all-day celebration starting with a morning parade that you can join (check out the link). Later in the day, meet up for festivities and fireworks at Dellinger Park.

July Concert Series & Fireworks July 4th

Chamblee’s July Summer Concert Series is legendary. And the July 4th show never disappoints! Catch the Ansley Stewart Band followed by The Platinum Band who covers just about anything from Jazz to Hip Hop, current Hits, 70’s disco, 80’s, 90’s, Motown, R&B, Rap, and Country. Transportation options include shuttles to and from the event, parking at nearby businesses and a designated rideshare park.

Pied Piper Parade, Live Music & Fireworks, July 4th

Turn up at 6pm to watch (or join in) the Pied Piper Parade as it winds through downtown with floats, wagons and, of course, kids on bikes bicycles. Then head on over to the community bandstand for live music and merriment.

Get up early and park your lawn chair for the city’s Fourth of July Celebration Parade along Church Street that morning, then enjoy family-friendly activities at Douglasville Town Green. One of the longest parades around can be found in Dunwoody. The city hosts a 2.7-mile route of marching bands, floats, clowns, animal units and local celebrities. Bring your chairs and stake out a space along Mount Vernon Road or at Dunwoody Village.

Newnan’s 4th of July celebration coincides with the re-opening of Newnan High School and the day will be action-packed. A morning parade begins at Veteran’s Memorial Park (Temple Avenue Park) and ends at Greenville Street Park. By 5pm, you’ll be ready to head over to the high school, where the lower field will be open for the fireworks show. Enjoy local music and the tastes of food trucks up until the fireworks begin to boom. FREE event!

July 4th gets off to a bang as the Sandy Springs Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration lights the sky over City Springs. Bring blankets and lawn chairs (low back chairs preferred) and enjoy live music until the fireworks begin. Bring your own picnic or purchase from one of the nearby restaurants or check out the food trucks! Only alcoholic beverages sold on site are allowed (available for purchase at CityBar and other concession outlets). City leaders ask that you wait until 4:00pm to set up. Sorry, no personal fireworks, outside tables, pop-up tents, tarp tents, or canopy tents. Umbrellas allowed until the concert starts.

Stone Mountain is celebrating all week. This perennial favorite fireworks spot also offers a huge number of  family attractions, live entertainment during Summer at the Rock, hiking and gentle strolls through miles of wooded trails. Not to mention an entirely new drone and light show and patriotic fireworks finale. Visitors must be ticketed and showing up by 5pm, especialy on July 4, is recommended.

Light up your night Wednesday July 3rd at E.E. Robinson Park. Sparks in the Park is a FREE event offering live music, food trucks, vendors, activities, and, of course, fireworks! Bring your chairs and blankets. Food trucks will be by the pickleball courts. Heads-up on parking: The Level Creek E.E. Robinson Park North entrance lot is limited to those with ADA (American Disabilities Act) stickers. Attendees may park at Sugar Hill Elementary School, Sugar Hill Church and the Public Parking Deck in Downtown Sugar Hill.

4th of JULY SPECTACULAR, July 4th

Here’s your chance to not just watch a July 4th parade, but actually star in it! Woodstock invites you to celebrate America’s birthday by (literally) joining its July 4th Spectacular Parade!  The parade is approximately 1.3 miles long. Everyone is welcome to participate with a float, vehicle or group of walkers – FOR FREE. After the parade you can catch the 4th of July Spectacular Festival and return later for the fireworks.
