The idea of Shelley Henley’s child Jacob living on disability after high school didn’t sit well with her so she decided to create an opportunity for him. See Jacob has autism and Shelley feared once he graduated from high school his future would be living at home and collecting disability. Jacob really wanted to go to culinary school, but academically that just wasn’t an option. So they created his dream and started up a bakery of their own. It’s called No Label at the Table. They chose this name to really emphasize that labels won’t prevent her employees from living to their full potential. Right now, they have about 13 autistic employees and are growing at a rapid pace!
