With Irma getting closer and closer, you can’t avoid the Florida plates everywhere! When a 9-year-old noticed he and his mom were behind Floridians at a Chick Fil A drive-thru, Landon couldn’t sit still. Landon told his mom they needed to pay for their meal. But how do you pay for the car in front of you? Without thinking, Landon’s mom gave him her debit card and told him to run to the drive-thru window! Thankfully, Landon made it in time to pay for the man’s meal. Apparently, it turned out that this man had left his home in Miami to escape Irma and was traveling through to Birmingham.

When Landon was asked why he felt compelled to pay for this guy’s meal, he said, “I didn’t want them to waste their money on food because they’re trying to escape the hurricane,” and continued with, “I felt like I should help out.”
