Carly Pearce Tells Her Truth This Week as a CMA Nominee

Carly Pearce‘s new album arrives this week!

Talking about the new album, Carly shares “My truth in 15 songs. All written in stone. I can’t wait to share them with you this Friday.”

29: Written in Stone is coming out the week after it was announced that Carly is a double CMA Award nominee. She received nods in the categories for Album and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Her Album Of The Year nom is for 29 – her collection of music that came out earlier this year.

When it comes to her Female Vocalist nomination, Carly says, “Last year when I saw my name on the CMA nominations for Song of the Year, I thought my heart was going to explode. This year, it was even more intense. So many of the women I’ve loved – Patty Loveless, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Alison Krauss, Faith Hill, Lee Ann Womack, Barbara Mandrell, Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn – have won Female Vocalist. To be in their company was a dream in some of my lowest moments. To be back here this year with so many incredible peers and vocalists makes me feel like people can hear the truth I try to carry in my voice. I am so honored.”

Carly fans know that two of those names she mentioned have a connection to her album due out Friday. “Dear Miss Loretta” is the song Carly wrote about Loretta Lynn, that Patty Loveless joins her on…

Carly has had a very emotional few weeks. Her album is coming out, her CMA Award nominations…she recently achieved a lifelong goal of becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry, her Hometown placed a marker on its border that reads “Welcome to Taylor Mill, Hometown of Country Music Star, Carly Pearce” while presenting her a key to the city.

And last week, she got to perform a very special version of her song “Show Me Around.”

Carly shares, “A few of my band members & I traveled to Shanksville, PA for an unforgettable evening honoring the men & women of Flight 93 singing my song “Show Me Around”. To say it was emotional was an understatement, but I truly looked up as I was singing and felt like I could feel the presence of all 40 of those heroes in the clouds above. A moment to pay tribute that I’ll never forget.”

The performance was included in this past weekend’s special 2-Hour Grand Ole Opry show that partnered with The Wounded Warrior Project. Along with Carly, there was also performances from Trace Adkins, Jimmie Allen, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mercy Me, Trisha Yearwood, Craig Morgan, Lauren Alaina, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and many others.
