This Family Leaves Scarves and Hats On Their Fence For The Homeless

A family has turned their fence into a place where those less fortunate can make sure they’ll stay warm this winter. Lynda Salisbury and her family started a ‘blessing fence’ three years ago and it just keeps growing. Lynda started putting gloves, scarves, and a sign that says, “Take what you need… leave the rest. May you always feel warm, cozy and blessed!” Once word got out, items would be taken so quickly Lynda had to restock almost daily.

Now a few years later, the ‘blessing fence’ has grown into a community effort. Lynda and her family set up a Facebook page letting everyone know about their efforts. Now her neighbors and friends are actually knitting for the occasion all year long and they take donations from everyone.
