GIRL POWER: Female QB Makes History In High School Football!

When a girl wants to play high school football, you know her request is met with eye rolls. Lucky for Hollywood Hills high school in Florida, a coach took a chance because Holly Neher is crushing this season and making history. The whole situation started when her summer female flag football league came to an end, but Holly wanted to keep playing! She asked the coach at her high school if she could try tackle football with the boys. Coach Brandon Graham let Holly know she could play, but needed to understand that she wasn’t going to get any special treatment. Holly agreed and is showing her coach why he was brilliant to bring her on. First, Holly is only a junior playing on the varsity team and became their first-string quarterback! Holly is the first female in her country to ever start in a varsity football game. In the first play of her first game Holly had a complete pass that turned into a touchdown for her team, the Hollywood Hills Spartans!
