You know when your family is going through a hard time, you’ll do anything to help out. That’s exactly what an 18-year-old was trying to do in Toronto. His father fell ill and couldn’t provide for the family anymore. This teen went and found a potential job, but he didn’t have any clothes for it.
Unfortunately, he thought the only way to look nice for his interview was to use a 5-finger discount and steal a dress shirt and tie. He ended up getting caught. However, the police officer taking care of the situation, Niran Jeyanesean, understood this young man’s motivation behind the theft and ended up paying for the clothes and let him go free.
Thanks to Niran’s good deed, this young man is now employed and able to help provide for his family!
