When it comes to Kelsea Ballerini and her ongoing successes, few things surprise us anymore. However, the same can’t be said for the humble and unassuming Ballerini.

Tonight, while playing the Grand Ole Opry, the “Peter Pan” singer-songwriter was unexpectedly presented with a plaque for her newly Gold-certified single.

“Peter Pan” serves as Ballerini’s third single off her debut album, The First Time; a project which has, thus far, garnered two No. 1 hits and two previous Gold certifications (“Love Me Like You Mean It”; “Dibs”). The ballad that has long been a fan favorite is well on its way to following in the direction of its predecessors, currently at No. 7 and still climbing the chart.
