Alright, it’s not really as bad as it sounds. Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line didn’t quit his award-winning duo with Brian Kelley. Instead, he made a public statement that he was giving up social media to get “back to the basics.”

Using an Instagram post to bid farewell to his digital fans, Hubbard poured his soul out, explaining why he made the personal decision to no longer post on social media and will leave all public updates to the Florida Georgia Line and Kelley accounts. In relevant part, Hubbard assured his fans he is not stepping out of the spotlight; just logging off from this particular place in the world…for now.

I love my fans and promise I’m not gone forever but I’m taking some time to refocus on my relationships, the Lord, my marriage, my family, and my music.
